KA24DE-T all the way. I've spent like $1600. With $6k you should have no problem making at least 400 on pump reliably.

I just quoted. I'm not sure when that motor was "new" off hand, so it *may* have been the greatest I4 for its time, maybe not.

I'd still like to have one though....

in my opinion dory it would depend on what you want to do....with my s13 im going sr20 for the mere fact i can get the sr20 for about the same price i could if i rebuilt and turboed my ka..my ka has like 223k on her now but still running great....all depends on what you want to do man....look at how many miles is on the motor versus how much power you want. either motor could do whatever you wanted to there is enough aftermarket for a KA now that its not to hard to make a KA make up to 800 hp if you get the right components and talk to the right people. with 6g's i would say you could make some very nice power with a ka like around 300 to 400 hp. with a sr20 you could get the motor for 2300 for a blacktop motor and get a bigger turbo for it too depending on how much work you have to do...have to remember with the SR20 you do have to start cutting the harness and making it longer....its a japan engine so parts will be a bit harder to find at times if you were to go to autozone or something....up to you man...think about what you really want to do with the s13 and whatever it is make sure she goes fast and you will have fun in it!!!!!!

depends if u want drift or drag....if you want drift i would go turboed ka24...but if you want drag go sr20 the reason is the ka has vey little top end compared to the sr20....

haha hes very right, because the 4G63-T is the most powerful 4-cylinder in history. Its like the 2JZ of 4-cylinders, haha so drop that in there!!!

dude the sr20 is already turbo'd so instead of spending $$ to rebuild something and make it boost ready...just buy a bigger turbo for the sr, bigger injectors, get an enthalpy tune, and z32 maf,all the other bull shit that goes with turbo'd engines and you'll be around 300whp. then you can put the rest of the money into whatever else you want on the car my buddy has a built/boosted ka and is making 345ish to the wheels, my engine/engine mods were less money and im looking at 300whp. so for the money you cant beat it. + the ka heavier so some (i mean cunt hair size,but still) of the extra ponies are getting robbed
