Besides, might I remind you, the Focus SVT was every bit as powerful as the Civic Si. And the only real swap option Focus owners have is dropping the SVT motor into a ZX3 or going V6 with the SVT Contour motor.
Don't hate on a Focus because it's a Focus... that's totally being car-racist!
You can swap V8 engine but will cost a fortune.

Yeah... I decided to leave that one out due to its sheer insanity.

Also, this doesn't really have to do with import/ domestic... Focus is totally euro-inspired. Drive a vee dub or a beamer, then drive a Focus. It's like watered down euro car. The Diet Coke of euro cars, if you will. Besides, I'm fairly sure Foci are "Hecho en Mexico" anyways.

And I agree, everyone is a fanboy of thier own car, but to knock a car before you drive it is nuts. Look past the blue oval and see a car that has potential, like you would look at any Civic or Jetta. Don't pick on the little guy because it's got a blue oval on its face!

Q: How much would it cost for Tee's Custom to build and furnish everything?

A: If we furnish used car, new motor, new transmission- 5 speed or automatic, front & rear disc brakes, 8.8 mustang rear, the Kugel kit and do the installation the price will be $30,000.00 US . This does not include optional: leather interior, wheels, tires, ground fx body kit etc.

Q: If I furnish my own car and Tee's Custom does the install and supplies everything else, what would it cost?

A: To do the install and furnish all but the basic car the price is $25,000.00

That is pretty freaking expensive. I'm sure that's not the only place that does the swaps. The guy we talked with at FFW that had the swapped done to his, after car, was only about 10K in parts. He said the work wasn't that hard at all.

I believe they make a bolt in kit. I wish LUV2CORNER would chime in he knows all about this topic.

Ive never owned a focus but i do know that cosworth has tons of aftermarket support. lol of course their 2.3duratec can run upward of 19gs. they sell a decent shortblock setup that can easily handle 30lbs of boost

Phew... good thing none of those recalls apply to my car. Not much I can say to rebut that... I never hear people on FocalJet say anything about thier cars catching fire or anything of the sort. Besides, I think the defects go back to the whole 'Foci are made in Mexico' thing...
