To revert back to the original post, which is probably astounding since these things tend to get lost and/or forgotten about, I believe he was stating that he would rather take a drive through Pungo, rather than hang out in a parking lot or go drag race down public roads.

My (very close to) stock ZX3 can keep up with my brothers D16 swapped Civic. It's definately not as slow as most people think. With only bolt-ons, it's a Civic eater... for lunch... and dinner...
Besides, might I remind you, the Focus SVT was every bit as powerful as the Civic Si. And the only real swap option Focus owners have is dropping the SVT motor into a ZX3 or going V6 with the SVT Contour motor.
Don't hate on a Focus because it's a Focus... that's totally being car-racist!

Any car "can" be fast! [/thread]

Everyone's a fanboy of their own ride! Or else you would own something else. I think this is the 5,000th thread that has lead to the dumb as shit import/domestic saga. Are there any other worthy posts someone would like to add to the "original" topic?

I can show you plenty of VWs that have had just a upgraded turbo (and supporting fuel/ignition mods) and made an additional 200hp over stock. This is without building motors.

Are you saying Foci can't complete the above task or that econoboxes in general aren't going to be able to?

EDIT: Oh wow. This thread is much deeper than I thought. Ignore my comments if they're already been discussed or answered.

Anybody else notice that this guy was trying to imply that he would RATHER go on a drive through Pungo than hang out in a parking lot and drag though the streets.

Grammar owns him but I don't think he was implying that he wants to race through neighborhoods

wow this post is point less focuses are horrible cars i owned one for 3 years and now it is sitting in a parking lot molding away. But they can be fast ....

Focus-Power breaks into the 11's @ NJ FFW!!! 05-25-04

The whole pass right from the start went very well i could feel out of the hole she hooked up and was pulling hard.

My boost was 27 (Gauge) 30 (Boost Controller)Psi not sure what one is right i would guess the gauge.

I was on my 2 year old drag radials (grabbed the wrong set when i loaded the cars )BFG G-Force Drag Dadials(DOT)tires.

I am 5 PSI more boost and hooked up the Overdrive on the Lentech from the Atlanta 12.71 pass. I was hitting the rev limiter at about 3 car length from the lights (Atlanta) and now can pull all the way through the lights I think this made a BIG differance

The ZX3 is still on STOCK Cams and Ignition and running.

60... 2.093
330.. 5.377
1/8.. 7.921
MPH.. 99.16
1000. 10.062
1/4.. 11.882
MPH.. 123.37

I have 10 Psi still there not used and a 125 shot of Nitrous that has yet to be used down the track BUT. Now i have to decide where to stop. With FFW DEMANDING a 5 point cage , safety belts , Drivers Jacket and needing something more than the stock brakes and brake pads . I have to decide just how far do i want to go and how much more to spend on keeping it street legal ?????

Would like to thank Lentech, Mike Wilson (chip guy) BFG ,Innovative Turbo for there help to make this all happen.
