Default Dynomax on 4 cyl question

Anyone have a dynomax superturbo on their 4 banger? I'm gettin one for mine, and hoping its not too loud... my buddy has one on his V6 and it sounds pretty sharp! nice n quiet, yet deep...

if anyone has any sound files, can u email them to me? coolva@cox.net

thanks all!

Dyno's sound great on 4sillys . They aren't loud and raspy like fartbox freeflow ricer mufflers . No sound files , but I can tell you they sound nice and deep without overdoing it . ( plus you get the benefit of backpressure that you lose with straight through muffs .... everyone always forgets about that !! )

So, for a basically stock neon DOHC motor, you think this should be a good choice, correct? I've seen where this muffler gives you ~3HP at the wheels on a SOHC motor... i'm guessing maybe 1HP more on a DOHC... *shrug*

Don't expect to feel any gains with a muffler alone ( although you DO get the illusion that it is faster !! ). With a muff , intake / filter , and some crafty use of engine management ... you will squeeze a few ponys outta that biznitch .

Supertrapp all the way, there is no other sound like it.. and most guys on my board run dynomax or no max mufflers.. mostly bullets, and ultra flow's.. borla's something1 muffler is really nice sounding.. al ittle pricey but its there..

If you dont have a turbo or blower, dont get an open muffler, backpressure is your freind.. especially in 4 cylinders when torque doesnt come easy... whatever floats your boat

i dont have whatever muffler you guys are talking about, but back pressure hurts my car, im not sure if your cars turbo or not but i can feel massive amounts of difference with no exhaust compared to a backpressured exhaust, but every cars different....
