CAR THEFT CHALLENGE...
Thought you night be interested in this. I liked the idea of a real-time gps for myself , because you can report it to the police if you'd like...........or........deal with the crook youself. Me, I would be more inclined to report it and where it is. http://cgi.ebay.com/Real-Time-GPS-Au...QQcmdZViewItem
i saw on another forum where they did a group deal with lojack. the offered it for like 475 if you get 20 or more people i think. i'm sure we could get that many interested parties. might take a couple months to get the 500 tho
Yeah, and I'm sure that doesn't come with the early detection, which is the great perk of lojack.
I found this interesting.
Thread on a LO-Jack car.

Sure... they found it..
edit: man that thread is ghetto as fuck. either way found the car but it was already stripped. this is the part we need to prevent and all it takes is a few hours to do apparently

i set those off with my 2 10s in the trunk. alarms now adays go unnoticed by a lot of people since it seems everyone and their dog has them on the car now. i closed my car next to an effed up accord and the alarm went off. people just jumped a little and went about their business
All I have to say is: I tried to put you guys onto this DEI GPS system a long time ago. Check my threads. I was selling one for more than half off!!!
NO!!! It's not portable. (For some of you who were asking)
YES!!! There's real-time tracking involved. (done by you. not police. not the company. YOU!!)
YES!!! They recover vehicles. And, you can even tell the police where your vehicle is and you can control functions of the vehicle through the GPS!!
DEI is the parent company of Viper, Hornet, Clifford, etc. This is the only unit that I would ever install in my car because I have installed them and I KNOW they work. They track your car within a foot of it's location or something crazy. I had a customer's vehicle in a small parking lot. Maybe 5 parking spaces total. I was on one side. Checked functionality. Ran back out. Moved 4 spaces down. Location changed on the online map to show exactly where the car was at that second in time. You can even get online and watch it drive down the street, in REALTIME. I would never pay a company like lojack or onstar a fee to control my vehicle for me. Hope this explains any questions you may have about this unit. These units are definitely way ahead of their time and I don't think everyone is prepared for what they can do. But, since this thread got so much attention, I figured I could help by informing some people. Any more questions? Click link: http://www.viper.com/Products/GPSFAQ/Default.aspx
