Default CAR THEFT CHALLENGE...

I was thinking about all the threads concerning car thefts blah blah blah and vigilante blah blah blah [I sincerely feel for you fellas, I mean that] and what can be done
to solve this situation regarding the "plague" of thieves throughout this forum's reach. I was also thinking about how some of you scrape your every last paycheck on upgrading your vehicles and spending God Knows What on them only to have the disappointment of discovering your worst fears unfold before your eyes.

Is there anyone out there who would not be willing to prevent the inevitable from happening? Instead of that turbo conversion or the perfect set of rims you've been dreaming of for months...would you be willing to invest in something that would protect your investment other than insurance? I'm not saying it's failsafe, but it has an undeniable recovery track record (90+%). Additionally all of us on here would like to see some justice delivered and these criminals put behind bars where they belong. Unless that is, you yourselves have something to hide, which is basically not an issue with this product, but an issue to all of us, where we have zero tolerance as you may have surmised if you have browsed here for even a brief period of time and realize our pity has been neutralized by the frequency of incidents to the point of commonplace ignorance.

Is there anyone out there that would be willing to invest in LoJack? I realize it's not cheap, however it does involve a discount with most insurance carriers as well as piece of mind. I just feel at this point I would love to hear a success story where one of you out there decided to try this out and post up that your car was recovered without a scratch and the thieves were arrested in the same evening. We all realize what kinds of cars/bikes are being hoisted. Additionally we realize as well what a magnanimous gesture it would be to set an example on this forum to provide for others to follow suit. And no, I do not work for them, I just heard from a Boston police officer over a decade ago about the effectiveness of them and did my research. Money's tight these days, but before you decide to pour your hard earned cash into your dream wheels, you may want to take a step back and put things into perspective.

As always, just trying to help. Discuss.

How much is this system? I looked around the web site and didn't find a price and I don't want to waste any time with a represenative if it's completely out of my price range. Thanks.

my brother has this in one of his cars, and we were able to actually recover the vehicle from a person who stopped making payments. Price is a lot cheaper than the $800 or so I had been quoted for lojack before too.

DEI GPS > Lo-Jack.

You do realize in order for the police to find your car with Lo-Jack, there has to be a police car with it equipped within range of your car, right? The only good thing about Lo-Jack is the early detection. I'll take a GPS setup that provides real time tracking over hoping a cop drives near my car.
