i ran a 5.3 block for a while, bored to 346..

The alpha numeric character LS1 is an Engine Designation code. The 5.3 is an LSX yes but not an LS1. Besides the obviuos bore and stroke differences, the heads had smaller combustions chambers, smaller valves, different intake, and a host of other things. That would be the equivalent of me saying I had an LS6, and I at least shared the dimensions, intake, and block, but lacked the cam, valves, and tuning. But in no means would I say I have an LS6. It is a basic manufacturing Engine Designation code.

Hmm, I spoke too soon. I'm not quiet sure about that last 5.3 being an LS1, but Mighty Mouse... I actually have some video of your car from the last time I went to the track. Sweet ass ride. Something my little turbo can only strive to achieve.

i have an ls1 throttlebody, ls6 intake, ls2 block, ... the cam, rockers, pushrods, crank all interchange so who cares.. its a gen 3.

i remember that day at the track. i think MM ran 9's and the guys with the SC'd hawk ran 10.xx or something. damn that was a while ago.
