I was going to buy a '95 240 w/Rb25, full JDM interior (digi climate) etc, etc, for $12500, but the guy sold it about 3 days ago. Broke my fucking heart.

I'm really hoping once my generation is 30-40 that everyone has moved on from Hondas, but for some reason I can honestly picture half of my friends, at 40, rolling in a lowered turbo H.

 

Well, I didn't have a problem with that guy GodsOther until he started calling people kiddo, then he did it to me. Ok wtf am I supposed to do when your dad says to you when you're that young "Son, I've had this car for a long time and I'm giving it to you and one day you can give it to your son" I thought that car was the best thing since sliced bread.

Come on, why do I have to get a hard time for that shit. I understand that $4500 was a lot of money 30 years ago, but I'm talking about now. I was just saying that a 35 year old car had a straighter body than my 10 year old car...I don't know where his rant came from. Oh well, end of discussion, I'm not arguing.

I remember being 18 (1991) and driving my dad's 5.0 mustang with my girlfriend when some guy I had gone to school with wanted to race me. He was driving this beat up POS primered bug. I remember asking him if he was joking and he reved the engine. I should have known what was up at that point but didn't want to back down in front of my girl. I pull into the Taco bell parking lot in Churchland and let my girl out.

Stop light turns green and he jumps out to a 3-4 car lead on me. I'm thinking wtf is going on??? He didn't pull away any further but I didn't catch him either. He kicked my @ss so bad. I remember thinking how in the hell did he get that beatup crapper to go so fast? Afterward he explained to me all I didn't know about acvws.

I was the chump who raced a bug, thinking to myself, look at that pos over there and he wants to race my 5oh. I wanted the sleeper effect...regardless of how fast it looked to the informed person...the un-informed was only concerned that it was a bug.. I was that guy.

 

Ok I can call you a kid because you are one, secondly I never said you should respect anything so kiss my big white ass. My point was 4500 back then was a LOT of money, which proves my pervious point of for sub 6,000 a usable rolling chassis with intact body panels and drivetrain for a car in that era is NOT a bad price! especially considering what they sell for today. And other than the car that daddy gave you a 94 camaro (unless it's a V8) isn't exactly anything worth bragging about and furthermore at least I have bought the cars I have owned including my current TURD 99' prelude, which I would rather have then a *shudder* camaro. I could probably school you on building chevy's since I have been doing it since my younger years and would probably enjoy a conversation with your dad abotu building old muscle cars.

LOL Yeah I have heard about mommy and addy giving precious Jr. a car cause they wouldn't want them to actually earn a living and get their own, they are called spoiled brats and your acting like one, you ought to keep that cookie for yourself to go with the milk your sucking outta your mothers tittie! So did daddy give you the camaro too?

Thats what I am talking about and at the time I bet you were feelin pretty dumb losing to a POS bug but in retrospect (now that we are adults) we are like man that was pretty cool (or at least I would be) a similar story is when I was in highschool (same era) and some guy at school had a gen 1 Rx7 that we (motor heads w/chevelle's nova's etc few mopars too) joked about until my friend lost to him in his 70' with 350/th350 because as it turned out the guy had a chevy 4.3L V6 in it. talk about feeling pretty lame! but in retrospect now I was like man that was pretty cool!

P.S. 20-30 years from now there will be some new fad in hot cars and there will always be the domestic/import argument... It has been going on FOREVER

 

A comment on the $4500 = $19k part - the "average" car nowadays is $25.5k. $19k isn't much at all for a new vehicle.

A neon SRT4 is what.. 21k?

 

Thanks, I appreciate being that important to you since I can tell you searched through all my posts to find "dirt" on me. Ok, so what my dad bought my Camaro, OMG so if someone offered to buy you a car, you'd refuse it? Yeah, ok. I could give a shit less what you have to say. My whole fucking point was that the dealership sells shitty cars.

Second, where the fuck did I brag about my dad giving me my car, no where thanks. You worry about other people too much, you are the kind of person that gets mad over stupid shit. You wanna argue with me about how "I'm not earning a living" cause my parents gave me a car, wow big fucking deal, I have a job and I pay monthly bills, oh no.

Where did I act like a spoiled brat, again I say, no where did I brag about my car, why would I? Keep trying, I know you searched my posts I saw you doing for hmm about 20 minutes, I hope it was worth your time because It doesn't hurt my feelings at all that Mr. Big Bad E-Thug can school me on building a chevy motor or call me spoiled cause my mommy and daddy bought me a car.
