102 in a 65. need legal advice
Yeah, I think they changed it a few years ago, anything over 15mph above speed limit can be reckless if I'm not mistaken, and that makes 80 the mark in a 65. I have been ticketed at over 15mph twice I think, but I was polite with the officer so he marked it down to 14 and gave me speeding.
anything over 80 is reckless.
I don't care what was distracting you. If you creep up to over 100mph because you weren't paying attention, you shouldn't be driving.
Go to court, lose your license, get totally screwed by whatever else is in the massive book they'll hopefully throw at you, and maybe you'll learn something and figure out how to keep your car at two-digit speeds.
Sorry.

hes right. 20 over in VA is reckless. Thats why i would whether go to court in ohio because it will just be a speeding ticket, whats the fine on reckless in VA now, $1500 or something like that? Ill pay $150+ court cost in ohio Plus they would take my license in VA , because i asked the trooper if it was reckless and explained to him the 20+ law in virginia and he said it's just a speeding ticket. He told me that its up to virginia where i go to court at though , if they can't charge me with virginia laws then why would i even go to court in va? I doubt they would do that to make it more convenient for me.
