I am just bitching like you were a couple of posts ago about the markup GM did on the vette..So dont bitch at me for talking shit on the markup from ford when you are still bitching about the markups that GM did last year when the C6 came out!!
Didnt evan smith run a stock 02 Z28 to a 12.8 @108ish?? I think I have that MM&FF magazine around here someplace.. and I think he ran a stock 03 cobra to a 12.3@ 115mph.. So you know he is a good driver but what happened in the GT500?? Is that car really only a 1/2 a tenth faster then a 03 cobra?? Or was it because of the driver??

The Cobra ran 12.4@114 I believe with a 1.9 60ft. That was what Evan Smith got out of it. The GT500 was 12.2@117 with a 2.11 60ft. See the difference? 2 tenths faster with a worse 60ft and a trap of 3 mph higher. A 1.9 60ft on the GT500 would be 12.0. The GT500 is said to put down 440 to 450 to the ground. Lets do math, 440/500=88% meaning the car lost 12% through the drivtrain. That is less that the average 15% for a manual, if the car makes 450 than it has 10% drivetrain loss.
