Speed chase?

I look out for 140mph bikes all the time. The guy is an idiot plain and simple. I mourn for his family and anyone else who may have new him but definitely not for him. He could have took someone else with him and then you guys would be changing your tone about poor him. As we say all the time on here, there goes one less idiot/asshole in the world.
There's a difference.
I've raced on the street but never in traffic....only when the road has been deserted and even then that was stupid.
However I've never run from the cops and I've never done 140 on Rosemount.
Ive been pulled over a few times and never once has the thought crossed my mind to take off.
It's sad but I hear quite a few bike riders laughing about running from the cops. Everytime one dies from running I chuckle to myself

side note: every bike that has gone down this summer in a chase or the ones I have arrested were all active military or just got out.
I'm sure the ones that get away love to laugh and tell their story to their motorcycle friends. In reality it's about 50/ 25/ 25. 50% of the bike chases end with the rider going down ending in a fatality or very serious injury, 25% get stopped and arrested and 25% get away free. I keep track of mine. There are only three out there that can claim to have outrun me and from the jump it was apparent that they new how to ride. The skills of the rider makes the difference with their will to do some dangerous maneuvers to elude. Some of the chases just have to be shut down for everyone's safety, the rider, the motoring public and even me. This summer has been worse than the past with the motorcycle chases. I don't know, but the stats I have, you only have a 25% chance of getting away free. I don't like those odds.

Ok so you were on 564 in no traffic at all? I find that hard to believe. (see thread https://www.vadriven.com/forums/blackhole-6/03-cobra-vs-gt500-202868/) I like most of your posts and "witty" comments, but sometimes you are just a cold heartless bastard. And I am sure I will get flamed or laughed at for saying this. A guy lost his life and you take pleasure in it? How? People make mistakes and do dumb things, but why not have some compassion? Maybe at least for the family and friends. There is no need to call this guy a "dumbass", it happened and is done. Thankfully he did not take anyone with him in his wreckless actions. And why not leave it at that.
Let me share something with you to give you another side.
Earlier this summer I ruptured my bicep playing rugby. Everybody told me that I was stupid for playing a game where I could get hurt like that.
I don't expect sympthy for playing a rough game where somethine like that happens, just like someone shouldn't expect it from me when they do 140 running from the cops.
Not sure how fast he was orginally clocked at, but he probably could have gotten away with a big fine. Instead he ran and died.
Wrong choice.
Um yeah. I enjoy keeping my life and my license. I'd say half of the time, if you are cooperative and own up to your mistake, the officer will either cut you a break then and there or cut you a break in court. Running is just stupid.
I AM sure that you have had to put the sheet over the body before,so have i. Two years ago,my best friend was killed on his bike. He rounded a corner a little too fast, lost control and slammed to the ground. Now,helmet or not, they are only good to a reported 13mph any ways. Will was laying in the road, and was run over by a suburban, now this is a very blind corner, the driver was not faulted, and at that point it didn't matter,he died from severe brain trauma from impact .I was less than a mile away, when i got the call. He was coming to visit my fiance and myself. Now nothing in life is as sobering as placing a sheet over the lifeless body of one of your best friends, and then calling his mother to inform her,and having the grim duty of informing family and friends. So to you sick fucks on here who believe its funny when some one dies, COULD YOU PLACE A SHEET OVER A FRIENDS COLD DEAD BODY???? I don't think you could,so why say the things you say. I was a volunteer firefighter back home, and now i have no interest of ever doing it again. Shame on you for talking in this manner about a human life. This world is not a contest of who did what, who made what,or who is better or worse. Remember that please, life is all you have. Live it to the fullest, and no body is perfect. R.I.P. TO THIS YOUNG MAN, AND MAY GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY.
EDITED,READ IT!!!
no matter how much of a good guy he was or what a good friend or family member he was, that all gets thrown out the window if he chooses to risk my life and others on the road. for you to say you know him i call bullshit because you don't know the crazy side of him that made him run from the cops. i have a cold heart because i have been in iraq and have a close friend die in front of me. i'm used to death so when someone dies for their stupidity then i say yes they deserve to die and rot in hell. i was raised to be responsible for your own actions. too bad the cyclist can't back himself up cuz he's dead
And I am glad that you can own up to your actions and deal with the consequences, most men should.
