Default Input/help from car salesman.

Ok guys I'm in a position now where I might just try to trade my Durango in. NADA is close to 13K which is what I owe. I paid 13,800 stock (I know mods do nothing) for the truck. I'd give it an 8/10 overall. It's clean, but has it's flaws and what not. It has almost 72K on it and I bought a 4yr/48K warranty 1500 miles/5 months ago (see how I never drive it).

I just was wondering is there anywhere you think I may be able to trade it in @ what I owe? I refuse to trade it in and have negative equity. I'll just sit on it before I do that.

All help is appareciated. If you are a salesman and think YOU might be able to help me out then please let me know.

Thanks,
Joe

kbb.com "trade in" under GOOD condition will give you a closer idea as to what to expect for your trade. nada usually gives a higher figure... and with 72k on it, itll just be a wholesale item to any dealership. what that means is, u can even expect a little under kbb just bc of mileage. unless you paid THOUSANDS under invoice, or shoved out a few grand and only financed a percentage of the cost of the car, 99.99% of the time there will be some neg equity.

maybe you got a super duper deal when u bought your durango and got lucky... but without the yr trim and options, its hard for me to say.

www.kbb.com trade in value

truth hurts

ur in for a shock when you see what your going to be offered.

3 things going against you... dodge, gas prices, and dodge.

i bet ull be offered 7-8k if NADA says 13k.

i sold cars for 4 years by the way.

Be patient Joe, you'll find someone who will want your Durango. Its gonna be tough right now with gas prices, but eventually you will find someone. What are you daily driving right now?

I drive a company car which is a major reason I don't drive the Durango, but probably in the next month I will be changing jobs that involves me driving to NC and quite frankly I can't afford gas. If my job was in Norfolk, VB or Chesapeake it'd be ok.
