People must be acting stupid....I've never heard a SRT/EVO/STi/.:R32/350Z with a stock exhaust that is that loud but if you say so. All they would have to do is take it to the dealership and get a notarized letter or a rep from the dealership to go with you! Even more shocked that the cop would show up to battle that ticket in court

Where does it say in Ohio that you can have 92db's for your exhaust- is that at idle or at so many RPM's. I've seen traffic tickets and distrubing the peace for exhaust that were too loud.

yep, $35 ticket and $46 court costs even if you pay online with your credit card.

Luckily I've only had one of those in the last 6 years of not rockiing a front plate. Just don't go to va beach oceanfront. There is so much military around with out of state plates that the lack of one on your car doesn't raise an eyebrow. The rest of your car might and then they will notice the plate thing. I would think driving a red evo would attract the heat, but after 2 years and only one ticket, I'm not sweating it. That one time was leaving the fouontains and there were three cops just waiting there on the side of the road for someone to leave. I just left first so I got the ticket.

Dunno, never was pulled over with the stocker...but I'd bet out on the oceanfront the cop would just yank em up since they think it's a modded neon. 92dB's ever, can't ever be louder than that. To battle the stock exhaust...just gotta be able to prove it's factory, and the city loses and you were forced to waste your time because the cops an idiot. And the exhaust for Ohio is also in Ohio's laws...Just gotta search through the dmv/state laws pages and find it in there. Sorry, but it takes time, took me forever to find the plate thing, not looking a 2nd time :x

hey, i'd hate to break this to ya'll, but i work at a base police station, I'm an MA, and here's the law....

vehicles registered in va require 2 tags, front and back.
vehicles registered elsewhere do not require 2 tags. ie NC.

no cop can write you for having 1 tag out of state. tint is different. tint is a safety concern, and they can enforce that. you say, why safety, well because when i pull someone over, on base, and i can't see in their car, its to dark. i don't know if they are looking for a gun, or putting their dick away after jacking off.

either way, tint is different. exhaust states that YOU cannot make the mods, but if that was the way when you BOUGHT it, its legal, no matter if its stock or not.

but anyways, the tags have to follow the state laws its registered in.

hope that helps

Ive had mine off for 3 years now and havent had shit said to me about it. Been pulled about 5-6 times also. Guess Im just lucky. Also of course I get the occasional badgering by the wanna be cops when I go on base. Oh and if you have it in your windshield they'll ask ya to take it down because it could decapitate you......HAHAHAHAHA....as I was so kindly told one morning!

dude, i'm one of thoes wanna be cops on base, and we do tell people that cause to many times, people on base, who don't know how to friggen drive get in accidents, and that plate usually cuts someone.

NOT in any way saying its goona cut ur head off, but it has cut people before.... the 'wanna be cops' just like looking big.... but if your out of state, and your state does not require a front plate, no cop in va can give you a ticket for it
