Front Plates?

What's next...you can't get a tint ticket because you're registered elsewhere, or an exhaust ticket(which I've gotten, tried to fight, and lost...registered in Ohio)
i think this probably the dumbest argument ive heard all day but if that is true, how come police don't go handing out inspection tickets for NC registered vehicles without proper inspection? and it is not a 'just dont get caught' thing. ive been in a NC registered vehicle on more than one occasion when it was being pulled over or at a check point and nothing was mentioned about the inspection.

Hell, I don't think being registered in another state means anything to any state at all. Pretty sure every state requires you to abide by their own state laws.
Things are different with military- more than half the cars don't have front plates. Are they wrong? Don't care, have I got a ticket- No.
Do I have a out of state DL thats been expired for a few years -YES-. Am I a resident of VA-NO. Do I pay VA taxes-NO.

I have an Ohio licensce plate/license, I pay State taxes to Ohio, I have to pass Ohio's vehicle inspection(E-Check, exhaust inspection virtually). While I don't have to pass VA state inspection, my car can still be given a ticket if it weren't to comply with a part of it when I'm pulled over...why? because VA requires all cars that use it's highways to be able to pass that.
My license was also expired for a lil bit. I went back to Ohio on leave, and had to re-register. Ohio's law is 6 months for military...some states give you no leniency. Either way, the point being...when on a certain states highways, that state requires you to meet their standards. Do cops give out of staters a hard time usually? No, because they don't want to ticket someone possibly just passing through for not meeting their certain inspection laws.
edit - scratch that. 20 States don't issue front plates, and VA won't hold that against you. As for Ohio...and the other 30 :P...least seems to read that way, guess I could read into it more.

OK- so how am I suppose to get a FRONT PLATE? Since I was issued one
I just called the Cops on base and they said that I don't need a front plate if I'm not a resident and my car is register in the state "IF I didn't get 2 plates from that state"
