FiOS..where?
Also, Cox does not have "Hub sights," where the speeds are higher. You are thinking of DSL service from other providers.
Is Verizon still using Direct TV for their video provider, or do they have thier own now?
Also, most of Cox's system is composed of fiber. The only "copper" or coax we use in the actuall neighbohood. It's called the "last mile." The majority of our business accounts such as Sentra have a straight fiber feed.
For the person not getting 15 down, then you have a bottleneck somewhere. I do speed checks everyday on peoples computers and if their system is set-up correctly, they are getting the 15 they are paying for.

Actually you can get it set-up how you want it with Cox. We can now put the phone equipment inside if you would like or outside. It also depends on where you cable lines are stubbed out at. Some people only have a phone demark outside and all the cable lines will be located inside a smart box or a junction in the attic or crawl space.

also FiOS is going to have it's own tv channels come over the fiber from what i read, not Direct TV..even tho they also offer that and that's lame...rain should never mess with my TV!! lol
i get 4mb download.. tops.. give me a number to call you up at work i'll let ya test my line and see. brandnew apt building...lynksys modem/router same setup i used on comcast and it was 10mb down.
that 30/5 service is prob over 100bucks a month id assume... as far as the other two levels cox offers the same speeds.. im prob one of the lucky few that actually get killers speeds all the time... im not a fan boy of either.. ill take the fastest at the best price.. lets the speed wars start!
I like it a lot, had an issue or 2 here now and then...nothing like when i had dsl and there tech support ugh

Currently I beleive they are prodcasting Direct Tv's programming through their cable lines.
Just call 222-1111 to set-up a trouble call for slow DL speeds. It's a pretty common issue and it's usually something simple.
fiber will always be superior over copper. theres a reason why im switching copper networks on the carl vinson(cvn aircraft carrier) to fiber, theres a reason why cox is gonna start doing fiber....
The "offered" speeds are the same......Thats about it. My laptop has a faster download on a 5mb FiOS than a 10mb HSI connection...at the same time of day...from the same test site (The one we use at COX)
Ever seen a COX box on the side of your house, they aren't much smaller. Granted they are only used for phone....but they are still ugly as fuck.
