alright, for all intents and purposes i have the most expirence with the Mustang dyno here obviously. Let me give you some insight.

the mustang dyno is a heart breaker yes, but its very accurate. Keep in mind it takes into account wind resistance, weight, and what your true wheel horsepower usable will be (essentially) where as a dynojet is great for bragging rights...because basically whatever you put down, w/o wind, etc...is what it will show you. If any of you know who David Buschur is he will tell you the same thing, he too has a mustang (i know him well enough that ive had conversations about the dyno, yes.) anyway Take my car for example...its awd and factory it was 276 flywheel hp...great! on a Dynojet it made 239whp and on a Mustang it made about 190whp. Currently i am almost if not eclipsing 400whp on a dynojet and only (i havent tuned and dynoed yet) about 340whp on the mustang.

for the record...the turbo 240sx (cant remember if it was 240 or 180...) anyway those, yes, are low for being a turbo, but how is your car running? are you rich and untuned, turbo taking a dump, a riestriction somewhere? do you know for a fact that your car is running where it should be? because frankly i know you should make more power but is there maybe something going on that you arent aware of?

the GTO...hey, yea my bad lol- anyway youre car is strong, if you put down 250whp- i want to let you know i spent at least 5k to get my car to that on a mustang. youre car is strong and i bet on a dynojet you throw down 305-315whp (assuming 250 was your number, i swear i saw 278 when i looked at the screen. so many factors can come into play too...)

additionally...the larger the horsepower the larger the loss to the wheels (its proportional)

brand specific...they use different technology to get readings. thats the same in any product in the world (competition ) lol personally im proud to brag for my numbers on the mustang simply because its a low reading dyno...it makes it feel like 300whp is still 300whp u know?

I know for a fact the car was running great. It just doesnt make sense to me at all. I read your post and it still seems like the mustang dyno is inaccurate.

its not, maybe something happened during your run, like if your tires skip on the rollers, you have a hiccup in throttle (rich/lean spot in fuel map), a few outside things could cause this too. Keep in mind i am by no means defending that specific dyno, im just providing the reasoning (possibly)

for the GTO, your numbers reflect very well your quarter mile times provided those are current. You car is strong, but heavy...so low 13's is indicative of your numbers on the Mustang.

That GTO should be putting down 340-345, you guys are smoking crack. Even on a Mustang dyno it should only be 325. And Dizz, they even dynoed you in 3rd????? Any shop that knows wtf they are doing are not even going to waste time dynoing in 3rd. It's going to make less power there due to it not being a 1:1 gear like 4th is. If they don't even know what gear to dyno a car in, I would be very scared of taking a car there to get worked or dyno-tuned.

Can you give these guys SOME kind of credit. I mean shit, they JUST opened not too long ago. Not saying they made any mistakes, cause i don't know, but i do think that they're allowed to be human. And they are the first AWD dyno in the 757 from what I understand. So ease up on em a bit. I personally wouldn't take my FWD/RWD car to an AWD dyno seeing as though there are other places to go. Aren't there differences between the results of an AWD and a 2WD dyno? That's just my .02.
