no, i want to know if he talked to the cop and what exactly the cop said at the light.... maybe he'll come to court with me and corroborate my story (at least the part where the cop had to ask what car was speeding) i want to know what the cop said so i can see if i can use it to my advantage when i go to court.

Was the ticket written for 82 in a 40? If so I'm wondering why that isn't a reckless ticket. From what I thought (453 can tell you) if he clocked you on radar, he should have a slip stating the speed.

If the ticket is for that fast, I would recommend getting yourself a lawyer.

Though if you think thats bullshit, try getting a ticket for going 9 miles over the limit, on 460, at 11:00 at night, on a Wednesday, with no traffic in either direction. Fucking Giles county. I got pulled over in an area where the speed went 55->45->55. The cop pulled me over and told me I was doing 54 in a 45, and no more then 1000 meters up the road was a sign that said "55mph".
After I apoligized (I had been driving for 4 hours after getting lost and winding up in Bluefield WV) I asked if he could just let me off with a warning, and his response was.

"Well if I let you off with a warning, I would have to let everyone off with a warning now wouldn't I"

No dick, you'd just have to let me off with a warning and go back to your radar sniping.
