Were you chased by a state man on Hardy rd on Friday?
I dont expect a response considering this is a public forum but just for entertainment purposes I'll post up some info you may not know if you were the driver.
Wife was following a state trooper on hardy rd at 5:30pm on fri who was doing about 35mph (
) heading towards roanoke when a red ford probe blows past the cop @~75mph headed east. State man tries to do a boot leg to give chase and he blows the manuever so bad the cruiser gets crossed up when the rear end comes around and he about hits my wife head on even though shes stopped at this point. He got the outta control cruiser stopped about ~3" from the front of her truck had to throw it in reverse and take off again. This all happened a mile or so from the hardy rd trailer park at the top of the hill where the new church is being built in the middle of a cow pasture.
FWIW, while Im not a fan of ford probes I hope you got away since the state man decided to pull a bone headed move right in front of my wife as well as two or three cars that were behind her. Not only did she have to clamp down on the brakes hard enough to leave some short skid marks but then the trooper blew what is arguabley the simplest move and about hits oncoming traffic that had to come to a panic stop just because of his driving inabilities. IMO he may not have gotten a plate number since the probe went by at mach 3 (give or take) and the cop took so much time getting himself togeather to give chase.
BTW, anyone know which state police office for me to contact that obviously employs roscoe p coltrain? A call will be going out on monday but Id like to call the correct office rather than two or three looking for the correct one. An ear chewing by me to the shift supervisor should equal some ass chewing at the next briefing......or at least some mandatory driver training refresher classes. If youre a cop and cant drive then at least go bust some meth labs or crack houses to make yourself useful and leave the roads to us ppl who can actually drive without wrecking.

Welcome to hillbillyville. Enjoy your stay.
Glad your wife's ok and has the driving skills that the cop doesn't. I've had some fun run-ins with the cops around there, last time I got pulled over and pissed the cop off really badly because I couldn't understand all of what he said. I kept asking him to repeat himself.. I don't do marble mouthed backwoods accents.

Technically your wife should have been keeping enough distance between herself and the officer that she could come to a controlled stop without leaving black marks in the event that the officer needed to make a quick reaction. Cops aren't going to give a shit if you call them.

The bonehead in this situation shouldn't have made the manuever in the first place if there was a possibility (and there obviously was) risk of an accident or worse. For some reason I doubt his wife was tailgating the cop, call me crazy, but people don't usually do that, but instead keep good distance.

IMO... cops should spend less time worrying about who's going 10mph over the speed limit and go after people actually posing a risk to society.
and why did the speed limit go to 45mph from right before troutville on 460 all the way to the 35 zone on orange ave?
