Hey, you have the EXACT same engine mods as me, except I have a classic se-r. And I dont have Eibach's, I have hyperco gen two's (300/200 spring rates) with agx kyb. That, and I dont have those crappy rotors

Yeah, thats cool....what color is it? I don't think I've seen u around

and those "crappy" rotors have really come in handy when I autocross, I'm really happy with them....but the best part is, is that I got all 4 brand new on ebay for 100 bucks So it would've been dumb not to get them for that cheap

Oh my...where is my post on brakes?? Ill just leave it like this.. those rotors are helping in no other way than purely cosmetic purposes. They actually increase stopping distance and cool down times. Not fighting, just there is a lot of false info on the advantages of drilled/slotted rotors.

I agree. You'd be better off with some plain old brembo non xdrilled rotors. Drilling the rotor reduces the structual integrity and reduces the mass of the rotor (reduces the thermal capacity).

I would disagree though that they increase the stopping distance (assuming no brake fade and the ability to lock up the brakes). Remember, tires stop the car, not brakes.

Yeah I know all of that, and actually I read your post on brakes...but the simple fact is, is that on a longer autoX course I started to feel fade by the end of the run, especially if I did a couple fun runs in a row at the end of the day....at this last autoX (which was a big one) my brakes never gave up...I have another guy that I let drive my car as well, and he agreed, and noticed an improvement in fade.

I'm sure u know or have heard this before but, slotted and drilled rotors have been proven to stop in shorter distances when heavy braking is underway...like autoXing, high speed, road courses, etc. Now normal driving yes, for the most part yeah they "can" increase stopping distances, but for the most part its no more than about a foot, and even then, this is a rarity so in the end its not a big deal. I'd rather have high performance braking capabilities for autoXing and such, I'll also be changing to synthetic brake fluid soon.
