Please find this info, im intrigued. And xdrilled DOES NOT COOL the rotor. In fact, it actually makes the rotor stay hot for longer and makes the rotor get hotter even more quickly. There is just less metal to dissipate the heat. And slotting a rotor does "shave" the pad down quicker, but at the same time why would you need to shave the pad at all? The used pad particles come off in the form of brake dust.

Exactly, you may be creating more surface area, but you are reducing the mass. You already have vanes for cooling. The thermal capicity is whats more important, and to get that, you need more mass.

lol cant very well get my dyno in when its at that body shop- it will be tuned and all in roughly 1.5 months when its out of the body shop.

The top 300zx guy in the nation has already stamped his approval that my set up will run at a minimum of 625rwhp and 1 of my friends who's running very similiar (smaller injectors and no FMIC) just hit 622rwhp.

have no doubts - my z was built to hit a min of 625rwhp - its just been in the shop getting more upgrades for the 7 months.

blah blah blah, we all know the "myth" and the "truth" about these shiznits. i have to agree a lil' more on Rguy and mpg on this one though, given the fact that his rotors are oem size. BUT~

i've talked to vtspecv extensively about the shiznit and he has done his part of research. let the man have his jolly. he likes it. he saids he feels a difference. let him be. you dont agree with everything he says, and he certainly doesnt agree with everything yo azz says.

the only thing i am pretty certain is that his rotors will crack, break, etc within 12months. THERE IS NO WAY you can buy brembo x-drilled/slotted (x-drilled/slotted by brembo) rotor X 4 for 100bucks. I dont doubt that the rotor itself is BREMBO, indeed. but i bet that the rotors are x-drilled/slotted by a 3rd party which are KNOWN for there crackah-ass crakin'. i can compare to my application..... $210(coximports, reputable vendor i have dealt with) for 2 genuine brembo slotted(brembo-slotted) rotors. 2!!! meaning just the front. now, you tell me the justification in the price.

and for the auto-x braking comment. i dunno man... i've never had any probs with fades. you must be braking like a grandma on crack or have shitty braking system. if i were you, i'd just change my story and say "i got 'em for looks."

we all have our own BUTT-DYNO system. i mean c'mon. you wash your car and it feels faster!

I'm still searching for that damn article....I want to say it was the Brake Man's website, but I can't find it in there, so I think it was somewhere else, I'll find it tho...don't worry......anyway, I checked the numbers on the boxes that the rotors came in, they are genuine brembo xdrilled and slotted (ie. Brembo did this, not a third party). And about the price, I don't care if they were stolen, i got them for 100 bucks, its fine with me

as for the fade thing, I'm positive that it happened, and I was pissed when I realized what it was and maybe it was a one time thing but, I can promise u that it hasn't happened since I put these rotors on.

Hmm...I only see one solution to make you see the light. 10 stops from 70mph with those rotors, see if there is any fade. 10 stops from 70mph with the stock ones and see if they fade. Ill bet you a KEG OF BEER (natty light of course) that you fade with the brembos before the stockers.

well then u owe me a Keg, b/c thats how I broke those in...I drove on them for a day, then went out onto "the dragway" I didn't do 10 but I ended up getting 7 in before traffic started to get close, with NO FADE at all. Hell I'll give u a ride, then u can witness this first hand....or is that against the rules too? No speeding and stoping...is that considered "illegal" stuff in your book that u won't take part in?

that sc cobra would get its ass kicked by my z - i'm sorry to say it - but i've eaten up saleens w/ 100 shot of n2o and some other bigger cars and that was prior to having all the mods i have now.
650rwhp is a bit more than a cobra w/ a charger
So all this was bullshit then? Just a bunch of speculation?

my last dyno was around 450 before the built engine and td05 16g dual turbos and 100 shot of n2o, rps 6puck clutch, new oil cooler, 1 piece alum drivesaft, new FMIC, new fuel system, FPR, FF, new dual intakes, new wastegates, downpipes, etc etc etc

ya - all bullshit putz

btw- this would also be at roughly 25-26psi on race fuel
