Nothing if you keep it on the road.
haha, that forbes website. Why don't they ask the end users what they think about it for offroading. lmao It has an h2 as the #2 vehicle for offroading if that tells you anything.

Yea, ahead of a land rover.. I have seen many tests that say its a decent 4wd SUV..

Back in high school, soccer game days, the whole team drove lifted 4x4's and we would go out 4 wheelin before the game since JV had to play and what not. IT was a fucking blast, what was funnier was that some of the teammates would bring their moms old volvo's and shit hahah. We always went down catabwa and turned right at that rinky dink gas station (I forget the roads name but it just kept going past state maintance and turned into creek crosses mudd pits.) Good times...

One other thing which is funny. Is that the lx470 is listed. Exact same thing as the land cruiser only lexus' version. So I guess that list is more a long the lines of "off-roading in luxury".
But that leaves one question.... why is the montero on there? In fact the montero is really the only mid-size suv on the list and it is definately not luxuriously compared to the others. Now for my mitsubishi rant... (sorry mitsu) Mitubishi has made some kickass cars between the dsm's, gvr4, evo's and fto's but your reliability fucking sucks compared to every other japanese car manufacturer. Maybe you got it right on the new montero but I doubt it.
As far as off-road capable after modified... I have to give that to the sammy's. These are some killer offroading machines. It's like wheeling a street legal golf cart!!! Unfortunately they are not typically too practical for daily driving... which once again brings me back to...
TOYOTA. Toyota has dominated the USA in it's truck and car line with their reliability and excellent resale value. Ranking number 2 in sales in the USA just after gmc but will be sticking it in gmc's ass in the years to come. Toyota has proven themself and came on strong in all racing events and soon to be nascar. The offroad capabilites of toyota 4x4's are awesome. Toyota knew what they were doing when they designed their 4x4's(with the exception of the 3.slow, but that can always be swapped with the 5vzfe or my motor of choice the 1uzfe)
Done with my rant... I will now leave you with an awesome top gear video of a hilux diesel to show what a beating toyotas can take.
