Are you settled on a truck or considering an suv?
I don't guess I'm really settled on getting ANYTHING new..

I liked the idea of having a truck so that I wouldn't be REQUIRED to trailer the bike unless I wanted to, but I also happen to know someone who is selling a pretty nice enclosed trailer that would be ideal.. Why?

Just curious mainly but a buddy of mine is considering selling his 4runner locally. It's already moderately built. It may be of interest and it may not.

I do understand about the whole trailer vs bed thing though. Either way do yourself a favor and get a yota. You won't regret it at all.

I second that. I've had 2 of them personally, and throughout the years my family has had at least 10(from mid 80s on). They've always been awesome trucks and do very well. Just do yourself a favor and stray from the 3.0 V6.

The last one I sold had about 287k miles on it when I got rid of it. My friend is still driving it. It had been in 3 rear end collisions and didn't have a straight panel on it; however the frame and drivtrain and interior were still in excellent shape.

Glad you could join the discussion in the thread.

The 3.slow aren't that bad. Definately not something you want to trailer with though. I have a feeling adam would be looking at newer vehicles anyways... so it would be at least the 3.4 which is a great motor(with or w/o the supercharger)

Yeah but the big weakpoint is the engine failure. Just a poor put together engine..and your right, no ass at all. The 22RE was a much better engine than the 3.pos v6.

And I again agree on the 3.4. Awesome replacement.

I know, I know.. it's a pitiful motor. No doubt toyotas worst motor ever built. But I still have to defend it since that it the motor I have in my runner.

Adam, this is a small preview pic of the runner I was talking about in the above post.

It's lifted on 33's, ome all the way around, tjm bumper, ect... and it does have the 3.4 so you don't have to worry about towing stuff. Oh it's a 5 speed too.. which is somewhat scarce in the 3rd gen runners.
