no doubt its possible, but look at half the fucks that do it on HT or even on this board for that matter. they run their bought turbo kit or do the JY one for a B or D series, and will only run about 6-9psi cause they are scuurrred to blow it up.

i still crack up when i asked Marshall what head gasket he had in it when he was dynoing the hatch last time it was about 240-250is on 11psi, and he said stock.

ALOT of it has to do with the tune, that i realize. but at least he had plans for much more. and that was on a D15 if i recall.

what is it, the H23 the only one with a closed deck? the rest are open, which will blow a headgasket if you look at it funny (believe me, i know that. the short time i did own a civic i had to put one on it, and the guy that bought it off me is doing one on it right now as i write this)

i guess i am weird, but i like being able to crank the fuck out of it and not see shit grenade (unless its a transmission, which i am guilty of blowing the fuck out of them)

of all the cars i have built, tuned, or worked on, turbo hondas are toward the bottom of my list of reliable power ones. oddly enough though, they are higher then VW's

Amen to that! Transmissions aren't cheap either! If I had a Honda, I could have replaced several built motors with what it cost me to replace my god damn transmission, but fortunately it's about as strong as it could ever be now. I'll never get that money back.. Now I intend to build a track only car so that I can break it and afford to have down time. No more of this racing your daily driver bullshit. I realize why that's dumb now.

Bitch.. I was going to give you a high five until I read that.

I wouldn't necessarily say that's true. Not so much in the defense of VW, because I don't really care anymore. I don't take it personally; It's only a car.. however, I will say this: I think Honda's are great reliable cars until you start modifying it. I'm not saying they're not still great cars, but the reliability isn't any better on a modified Honda than it is on any other car in my opinion. I realize you can run the piss out of them, but reliability goes out the window when you modify ANY car, IMO.

I must refer back to the aircooled VW's that you still see running puttering down the road with the original motors and transmissions still in them, 50 years later... Reliable? Volkswagen. They're still running aren't they? Watercooled Volkswagen's aren't known for that same great reliability, but they're not unreliable if you just leave them alone.

mexican VW's=durable
German VW's=shit.

and that goes to prove my point that people need to quite being all defensive about what kind of car they have.....all cars are pieces of shit, no matter what. and there is always a better or faster car out there.

1000cc's? Hope you've got a damn fast Mustang.

Regardless, do us all a favor and take the racing somewhere else. It doesn't belong on Williamson Road. I could care less if you race on public streets but at least take it to an industrial park somewhere please. Thanks
