Yep. The guy that owns it used to do a lot of SCCA racing with RX-7's, and he now has a Formula Mazda car.

The guy that runs it is the same one who owns Commonwealth Kinetics. He's pretty big into cars. He has that Formula Mazda, and he's a member at VIR. He also has a Cobra replica that he's building a carbon fiber body for. And, he and a friend built their own airplane...

I've told a lot of people about the dyno so it looks like I may be organizing a dyno day before too long. I'd like to talk to this guy and check it out sometime.. I'm happy someone finally bought one.

Out of curiousity, have you seen it yet Chad? I saw a dyno video the other day where the car goes up on a lift and then rolls back onto the dyno. Never seen a dyno like that in person but I would be a little intimidated by it. You'd have 5-6 feet to drop off of if they didn't strap the car down well. D'oh!

This one is in the ground, so that won't be a problem. They are digging a pit to put it in.

that is how big the unit actually is, most shops that cant dig out the floor put it above ground and have a lift to get it on the rollers.

This one is going in ground. And he's also talking about building a trailer for it to take it to shows and stuff. I'm not sure how heavy the thing is (I'm assuming it's pretty damn heavy) but he talked like it wouldn't be that hard to do. He has the resources to do it anyways...
