yes, there are some fast hondas out there. but, its like any well done hot rod....if its done well it gets respect. however, if the vast majority of owners of one brand of cars are ignorant little punk bitches that think cause they have VTEC its a race car, then most people will stereotype the owners of said brand of car.

I don't have VTEC.. as a matter of fact, NA, I had more torque than HP

And that pretty much makes no sense, the lower cam profile is for more power down low, the upper for more power up top, instead of one middle of the road.. put a cam with the same profile as the second on a VTEC motor in a non VTEC engine, shitty? yea.. horrible torque, shitty idle, decent up top.. guess thats the purpose of VTEC.. nothing more nothing less. No, I am not saying VTEC motors have torque, of course not, they are small displacement AND mostly 4 cylinders, but for comparison thats all..

Where did you get the idea that Honda owners think VTEC is the end all of "race cars"? Did some kid with a SOHC VTEC yell "But I gots Vt3k y0!" to you one time? If thats what happened, I can't believe you are using that to generalize on all honda owners, when any of the real honda people would laugh at that as well.. they arent ignorant for the most part(there are some of course), and we know what VTEC is and isn't capable of.. There is so much hype everywhere about VTEC, and 75% of the people don't even understand it.. They are pretty capable motors though, I will give them that..

odd that the big power hondas (the ones i actually have respect for, unlike the 98% of them i dont) are non vtec most of the time.

did i ever say anything against the engines? no. namely the owners/drivers. if you venture outside of western, you will see that a vast majority (at least half. there are a few that are non-conformists, but thats another story) of the civic owners on this board are basically complete ricer morons. am i saying all civic owners are ricer morons? no. however, if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, and walks like a duck........

this guy here with an accord, he went to NB one weekend and claimed he ran a 6.9. .ok whatever..doubtful in an accord but whatever..so i went on to ask what do you have. he says an accord. i was like yea but whats under the hood, what do you hae done..he said man i got vtec..i about fell in the fucking floor in the middle of the store laughing so hard. he just looked at me and i walked off..i couldnt stand it..

i'm with you Garn about hating it when ppl sterotype hondas. but fact of the matter is, most hondas are riced out, so it's really hard not to sterotype us. (i know i drive a vision, but i consider myself a prelude guy still. LOL)
