So what is there in Lynchburg that you know of in the way of Mustangs? I won't be back that way until August when my GF comes back for her senior year at RMWC. By then the Cobra should be all finished. Be nice to know what there is there for me to play with.

 

not a 100 % but i own one and consider 97% of the hondas in the area rice. Of course now that i'm out of the scene i consider street racing pretty rice. Just too much risk for no real benefit other than bragging rights.Or maybe it's because i don't own a fast straight line car. Of course i don't go around revving at people and thinking my sub 200hp honda is some kinda top fuel dragster. I enjoy it for it's smooth power delivery, handeling, reliability and economy. I admire all you guys with the 400 hp mustangs, camaros, GN's cause those are some truely badass machines. And there's something about the deep unmistakable rumble of v8 sounding like it's going to eat you and your alive when it's beside you at a light. Gotta love it. Of couse turning 8700 rpm in 3rd gear vtec coming out of a sweeping curve can be more exilerating than running 140mph in the 1320.

I think the main deal with ricing out cars is because the people are young, and just getting into the scene, don't know much if anything about mechanics and can't do much more than put a intake and strut bars on their car. Plus they are easily influenced more by looks than mods because if you don't know what a camshaft does, it's hard to justify buying it. But you can see a body kit or a wing and even if it does nothing, they think they look fast. Also, that stuff is usually cheaper. Most people i've known with cars like that after a few years either sell the car or return to a more clean look as they learn more and become more performance oriented. Unfortunatly the import scene is pretty stunnerized and influenced by some certain gay ass movies and tv shows that further influence the newcomers into filling APC's couffers!

 

theres a purple one that is supercharged. now what kinda #s he is putting out is antoher thing. he did an autocross one time for the hell of it and i've seen him run another mustang down the street. it looked and seemed fast. as far as mustangs though i really cant tell you much about em b/c i really dont know about em plus since i really dont chill on wards rd, i of course dont talk to them..but if i hear or see anything i will fill ya in

Willie, I live in Bedford and drive a vortech supercharged 2002 GT , and 93 calypso green fox body 5.0 , back 10 years ago I had a 87 fox body hatch back , it was black with purple racing stripes , a girl in Roanoke still has the car , she just got it repainted , same stripes too ..

 

PJ has the sonic blue GT with a procharger ....speedy has a red KB 03 cobra , his son has a stock red 03 cobra which I am sure wont stay stock much longer ....and some guy named Thomas or something has a KB 03 cobra too I think .......there is one more convertible true blue 03 stage 3 roush with the stock roush blower running around ....its not stock either , me and a friend helped do some things to it , its not running too bad for a roush .....366rwhp and 391 rwtq ....
