is there any way you can "show" me this part...he told me to clean the whole EGR assemblie and replace the DPFE sensor...but the part iam seeing and the part advanced has are TOTALLY diffrent...iam confussed!!

 

DO NOT get it from advance. you will have issues.


you are gonna be replacing the sensor that attaches to the intake. it is either aluminum, or black plastic. it has a three wire connector, and two hoses attached.

get it from ford. you will need your VIN.


before you change it, check to make sure both the hoses arent cracked or broken. that will cause a code to set also (more common then the sensor failure.)

 

You can't get the DPFE from Advance, we don't offer it, you'll have to go to Ford to get it. I can't remember which version your has but it will look close to this either in aluminum or black plactic. You don't need your VIN code just the number off the old one and they can cross it over, the number will have 9J460 in the middle of it. If you have problems finding it on your car just take it to Vinton Motors and Dennis should be able to point it out for you. It only takes 5 minutes to swap out so you could do it in the parking lot if you wanted.

 

Damn it..so advance was full of shit..grrr....they reset the code for me to get the idoit light off..and it came back on this mornin.....and my dad said why dont we go ahead and replace the whole unit..so iam trying to find the whole unit..but ford only wants to sell me the damn sensor...i allready planed in replacing the hoses..if they were in bad shape...and taking all that shit off and cleaning the hell out of them....plan on running seafoam cleaner to...apprently that shit is good...*zero said carbon come flying outta my tail pipe!! hell yea*

 

Well got the part...60 bucks for a gasket...the sensor..and cleaner...

New news is i hit a damn curb now my right side sorta......feels off balance...Meh...fuck this car..
