J-Spec Auto - Horrible Experience
Hi Jon
We are very busy here so if you were put on hold, I'm sure there was a reason for it. I wasn't rude to you at all I just told you the facts. The facts are this (as I stated over the phone):
We will be MORE THAN HAPPY to replace your engine free of charge, because we stand by our warranty. If that is rude I apologize, but that is exactly what I told you.
Secondly, of course we don't pay for labor. Can you name an importer that does? No, you can't. It's just the nature of this business. No importer covers the labor cost. Even U.S. junkyards do not do this.
And for the record, I didn't laugh at you, I laughed about how mad you were getting on the phone. I don't have to be nice when a customer is cursing at me.

Actually the engine had compression on all but one cylinder (this one was 20psi) according to the installer who I have been in touch with since this morning when we discovered this.
All of our engines are tested, either at our facility here or in Japan. This one did not have a transmission on it so it was tested in Japan before the trans was removed.
Also, we sell 20+ engines a week, unfortunately every now and read (read: rarely) one slips through the cracks, and we 100% honor our warranty policy. Just like in this case, we are standing behind the engine and replacing it if it turns out the claim is valid.

Am i missing something somewhere?
How many times do you plan on miss spelling "mine" ? at first i was thinking simple typo...now that i`ve seen you do it over and over i`ve just come to terms with the fact you`re either foreign or dumb.

I dont know what his issue was with jspec...I personally have bought atleast 7-8 b20s from sam and chris personally...I got my last one a few months ago from chris for a great price along with some ITR linkages
thanks buddy... They do honor their warranty by all means... I sent my cousin there to get a jdm B20(high compression) and it ended up having spun rod bearings..so it was dropped of and new crank, rods, pistons, rings, oil pump, and all bearings were put in at no charge what so ever.. When it comes to buying used motors these kinds of things happen sometimes.. When it comes to the cost of labor and everything like that, that's your own problem... Why in the hell would you pay somebody to do a simple install like a B-series into a civic.? It was a 99-00 si so its already a b-series car lol..Its a simple install and should be something that a honda/acura owner should know how to do..Especially since its a BOOSTED car lol.
