dulles auto body
i just picked up my mazda back from them for paint work and new tires and breaks...i got to said the paint is pretty good not the best but the price is pretty good one. the bad part...driving home i thought it was just the tires...beacuse differnt speed rateing but just 30mins ago mom comes back from work with the car and says its having a clunking sounds checked it out dam basturds didnt even tighten the lug nuts on the REAR tires!! =/ just wondering did any one else have any bad thoughts of them or so
Cliff Notes: They are terrible. In a gigantic clusterfuck they gave me nothing but a glimmer of hope that they would live up to my expectations.
Ah, where to begin...That's where I got my truck painted. I took it there a year ago this week, they told me it was a 4-5 week job, then handed it back to me incomplete in August. My paint is pretty good, like yours - Not the best, but good for the price. I have problems that I will end up having to either take elsewhere or do myself, but most likely the latter of the two. Things like chipped paint that came with the truck when I got it back, a chipped rocker panel that has now started to rust, poorly installed weather stripping, a windshield that leaks when driving in the rain at high speed because they broke mine and did not install the new one correctly, dents on my hood that were not there before I took it there, dents elsewhere that were not there, they didn't cover up my tires entirely during the painting, so I have primer and orange paint on two of my tires, there are certain areas that are a little rough, like there was no clear coat sprayed on them or something. I would not recommend them to anyone. The hassle involved, the problems that I have fixed and have yet to fix, and the people that work there outweigh the money you think you'd save.
The ONLY thing that they did a good job with other than pissing me off to no end was some body work. I used to have an auxhillary gas tank from when my great uncle owned the truck (the original owner) and had a camper on the bed. The gas cap was a tacky metal door on the driver's side of the truck that was about 6" by 6". They took it out, welded a new piece of metal on, and used a little bondo to even it out, and it looks great. When you tap the area you cannot tell that there was ever a hole there. Other than that, they were abysmal.

Here is a link to the thread I started that has some before and after pictures. The after shots make the truck look amazing, but I could take doezens of pictures of the imprefections...
