TSCC 9/21 Event at ACU4 CANCELED
Subject says it all.. The location of Octobers event is still up in the air. I'll let you guys know as soon as possible.
Also, the Thur TSCC Meeting has been canceled too.
FYI while I'm think about it. If any of you want to actually get involved in TSCC outside of running Sundays, or would like to voice your opinion/comments/concerns outside of an event, we meet every Thur BEFORE an event at Athens Pizza in Virginia Beach (it's on the way to Fentress).

Don't count on it. It would be very difficult to do at ACU4 and Fentress.
ODR would be able to.. But there still is one issue, setup. It takes about 3 hours to lay out a course. So that either means people would have to come out Friday evening after work or show up at like 6am to setup.

Yeah, working weekends sucks. Fortunatly, when I work on weekends it's overtime and I can usually do it from my house..
I just got a new job which has no on-call. I'm so happy its not even funny, this will be the first job I've had in about 5 years that didn't have an on-call rotation. And a $12,000/year raise didn't hurt either

Hey, I used to put on events on weeknights at the Va. Beach Pavillion Parking lot back in the early 90's. I got there about 4 with the trailer. The people who worked at the pavilion parked in the lot until 5. I threw together a simple multiple lap course, timed it with stopwatches, wrote times with pens and paper. We ran as many runs as we could get in each night. We had noise restrictions that limited mufflers to basically street cars, and it was intended to be a low key fun event. If someone got the site again I would gladly put on some of these events. I loved them. Simple, fun, and they got great attention from the passerby crowd. We got some regular autocrossers from people who were just driving by and saw them.

Getting spots is a fucking nightmare! I'll see what I can do. Right now my priority for TSCC is getting the trailer repaired and equipment replaced! Some assclown broke into it while it was at my friends shop getting the graphics done.
