Yes, we dodged a bullet. Tornados chased me up 17 to the hotel. Then with the rain quitting early, it got dry fast! Track was in good shape,,,until everyone started dumping fluids and mud on it... heh heh.

did you see Sunday's big bore race start? what happend on the first lap when they came back to the s/f line and that car was still there? someone just locking up the brakes?

Sounds like it went well then. It was miserable here on Saturday, but the autocross on Sunday was pretty good, except for the 35 mph winds off the bay.

I had gotten the last minute request from John Felton looking for instructors. They said they were short for the weekend. I would have liked to have gone, but I just had too many things wrong with the car to get it ready that quick. Biggest worry was the car pulling heavily to the right. I checked the suspension and found nothing unusual, but I rotated the tires and it went away???? I don't think I had low air pressure or anything. I don't get it... I'll figure it out...

Turned out to be an excellent weekend. Saturday was cloudy but the rain stopped by about 0800 and everything dried out. Bit cool (good for horsepower). We started having blue skies by the end of the day.

Sunday was excellent. total blue skies. High's about 70.

The track was in great shape. Few puddles, just the usual on the shoulder. Surface was very nice.

Ava enjoyed the races. Big bore had a standing start on Sunday. One car didn't get going and the field came around under yellow (but what does that mean to racers?) and (I didn't see it) I guess someone didn't take the yellow too seriously and almost hit the sitting car (I heard he locked them up and left about 200$ of rubber on the track avoiding it...)

My mustang ran great. Solved my fuel delivery problem. I was getting 135 mph on the front straight by the s/f line, hitting the rev limiter. No more cutting out.

I need some new tires and I need to upgrade the rear suspension. Maybe a trailing arm?

What tornados?

Not sure what happened on Sunday. I just heard that some people were trying to push it off track.

Did you mean this oil? http://www.focaljet.com/ubbthreads/s...ber=2416374858

Yea, those tornados, and that BMW. I made it thru the corner at slow speed, but it sure felt like I had lost the rear tires the way the car swung out.

Did he throw a rod?
