You can sign up on at odr-scca.org (the local SCCA chapter) or tidewater sports car club's site...depending on who is hosting the event...ODR-SCCA does the pungo thing...It is addictive and everyone here is right....the people are great and everyone is willing to help out...no street racer's mentality here...

Well, not be anal, but signing up at ODR's site for a BCC event won't work real well.

QwanSanchez: Book mark these, there are 3 clubs in the area that autocross, the one I'm president of, Tidewater Sports Car Club (aka TSCC); The Old Dominion Region of the SCCA (aka ODR or ODR-SCCA) and the Beachcombers Corvette Club (aka BCC).

Now, TSCC runs pretty much the 3rd sunday of every month. Where depends on the schedule, you'll need to check it. Currently they are either at ACU4 on Little Creek Amphib Base in VB or NALF Fentress in Chesapeake. You MUST preregister or be on the access list for these events, Navy's rules. I think we are running 10 events this month, still not sure yet.

ODR runs on the first Sunday of the month and runs from April through Dec. All of their events are at Pungo. no access list.

BCC runs on the 2nd Sunday of the month also at Pungo. The catch to BCC is that they run some open events and some closed events. Their open events, like the Winter Series they are running right now, are open to everyone with any ride. Their closed events are only for BCC and NCCC members, i.e. you need a corvette. I think they are only planning 2 or 3 open events this season after this series, that runs until March.

So there's the low down on who in the area runs autocrosses. They are all $20 unless you are memeber of the club. SCCA membership is $55/yr + $10 region fee, TSCC is like $25 ( I think, we're looking in to it). Just FYI.

at 99% of the event you don't have to join the club to run the events. But in all honesty, I highly recommend going to someone the events and seeing if you want to join one of the clubs. There is something very cool about being involved in putting on the events.
