It would absolutely be fun. It would also be a lot more expensive to put on (insurance would likely require air fencing & staffed ALS ambulance on hand, etc.)

I'll answer this one, since I have only about 30 years running at Langley and 20 years of setting up autocrosses. I always do a fairly indepth drivers meeting. Most of the experienced guys know it by heart, but for the novices, I like to make damn sure they know what to do and when to do it. I might even try to scare them a little since Langley has those big white walls around the outside. Unlike some places, Langley is a ton of fun, but it can bite you in the ass. I wanna make sure there isn't any "jackassery" at our events to mske sure A! we stay in good graces with the powers that be at the track and B) so your ride doesn't go home on the hook all rearranged! BTW, I do own a bodyshop......

Hey, will they allow two or more people to run in the same car?

I don't have anything prepped at the moment, but I have a couple friends who would let me romp on their car a bit.

Yes, two people can enter the same car in different heats.

Pre-reg for the First Timer Freebie runs is closed with 0 of 20 spots remaining.

Pre-reg for normal entries is closed with 16 of 60 spots remaining.

The updated entry list so far is at http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/083108reg.htm

The tentative schedule is:

Everyone on site will need to sign the waiver and get a wristband immediately (at the table by the building).

Only drivers and officials are allowed over the wall, i.e. inside the track itself.

Passengers are not allowed unless they are NASA-X instructors.

Spectating is free and encouraged.

Thanks again everyone & see ya tomorrow!
