auto X in NOVA
Anyone know of any auto cross clubs that organize stuff in northern va. Im interested in setting up cones in a parking lot and just practicing..I've never done it before, so Im looking for more info..thanks..
Just go to a regular autox! It's autox, not track racing. Autox is like practice for the track, but much slower and with almost nothing to run into. I just started this season with my scion xa with the DC BMW club. Really fun and easy to do. Just go to an event to check it out and see how it works. Have fun.
Check out CDC (Capitol Driving Club) there is events in VA, MD and WV. Lots of great people there that are willing to give you lessons.

Just be aware that it can lead to more auto-x'ing and track driving
The WDCR Washington DC SCCA chapter, or autocrossers inc would be 2 great groups for you to get involved with. I've run with both of them and they were both great. I'd recomend trying Autocrossers Inc first, the WDCR guys can be pretty intimidating for beginners.

CDC holds a pretty laid back autox - I'd definitely suggest starting at one of their events.
