Default wrecked 01 gsr :(

So a deer ran into the rear driver side quarter panel and cost $1500 to fix. They said it is gonna look brand new but the rest of the car will look they same.... whats the bestway for it to all be the same color?

but how about when I go to sell it or trade it in and they see where the tape was. i mean this car was in perfect condiotion, mint. how much will having it fixed and the whole car painted depricate the value?

It will be worth less if the paint doesn't match front to rear. It's been in a collision, it's not going to have full value no matter what, so get the whole thing painted and it will look better. If it's painted properly it shouldn't be noticeable, get the body shop to paint the door jambs. If you're really anal, take off the seam trim and the door panels so they can paint all the way over to where it can't be seen (when the trim is reinstalled)..
I think that if it's black, it won't be noticeable anyway. If they're just going to paint the outside (not the door jambs), you could also blend the edge where old paint meets new paint with some cutting compound.

ya i got mine painted twice in like 4 months. I completly stripped whole car and got inside and outside sprayed along with the engine bay (took 2 weeks to strip whole car). Then bout a month ago someone backed into the door and i painted it some off white pearl color and they couldnt match it so i got it all painted agin. If i were you id spend the extra cash and paint it all. It will look a world better.
