this might be a dumb quesiton but i dont know anything about it so....anyway the other day while driving to va beach from richmond i smelled a burnin smell...like a motor burn...well it wasnt my engine cuz i was still driving good...but i played wit everything and the wipers and sprayers werent working...so something burnt them out...yet i wasnt using them at the time or had for a bit...so today i checked the fuse and it was blown so i replaced it and tried them....they barely worked for one swipe...then stopped again...looked at the new fuse i had JUST put in...IT WAS BLOWN TOO....i have no clue whats causing it...anyone help me out what to check or what needs to be done...thanks a lot

 

More than likely there is nothing else in that circuit.

Unplug your wiper switch, new fuse, key on- check the fuse (more than likely its ok still). Then plug in your switch again, it will probably blow.

Cliffnotes = Wiper switch is internally grounding, replace switch.

If that don't work, trace the wiring from the fuse box to the switch. Rubbing wires to ground. Since you smelled that "electrical burn" smell I say its the switch.
