They say they don't need retorquing. Does this mean they don't need it, or you shouldn't? I.e. should I try retorquing it?

Not needing retorquing usually means that the gasket won't creep very much under compression so. You can retorque if you want..

Get some high temp gasket maker/sealant along with just about any gasket that fits... I use Permatex Ultra-Copper... been serving me well for years.
Goop up the gasket, snug the bolts, wait ~30 minutes, torque to spec.

Called Remflex. Installer (b/c I don't have any standard tools and the exhaust bolts are the only thing standard sized on my car) overtightened things. Even though it's not their fault at all, Remflex is sending me another pair for free
