sk8rmike is right...... i ran an intake mani on my hatch and ever since i put it on i had that same whistle on acceleration. then i had throttle body bored out a little and matched... whistle dissappeared. never affected performance noticably though... but matching it only means you will have less restriction (or whistling) coming from there.. and freer flowing air is more power, somewhere.
