Default whats the difference

Can anyone familiar with EM civics tell me why some of the after market products stress that they are for 5-speed only, or automatic only. And why some of the products are for EX only?

As far as intakes are concerned, from what i can gather, the automatic trannys block the path of a CAI, thats why they only have SAI available for them?

But the EX only stuff i cannot understand. Any input?

Well what about intakes? I only made a guess as to why they specifically say "for 5-speed only" or for "automatic only". I mean, i know they changed things a lot in the 7G, but i wouldnt think that transmission would have that big of an effect on things.

And what is the difference between the ex and the lx other than the ex having a vtec engine? Because i have seen headers for EX only as well, and i thought the only thing that was different between an lx motor and a ex is the head, so how does this effect the headers?? (im still learning, correct me politely please)
