you can try adding a grounding system to help ease the voltage drops

As far as vtec not working it could be that the sensor issue, low on oil,ect... Also make sure none of your conections are crossed, sounds stupid I know but you would not believe how often I have had to fix stuff like that for customers. Did you put a new alternator in there and if so were was it purchased from? Not trying to be rude but have run into problems with some of the reman units on the market. When you checked your grounds did you clean any possable coropsion and possably exessive paint from them?

Thanks for responses, vtec has been fixed, it was the throttle body on the skunk2 manifold. I've checked grounds multiple times and switched alternator twice now(which is three alternators on the motor).

Yeh but if you put 3 used alternators that are not known to be working propery, then you don't know what you are working with. Have you checked for exessive resistance on your alternator to fuse block wire? Have you tested alternator out put at the altrnator with the vehical ideling? Have you checked to see if the ELD is sending the correct info to the ECU? Have you checked for continuity from the block to ground not just vissual inspection of your grounds? Not trying to be an ass hole just trying to get some info to help sole your problem.

Everything on a car's wiring system is ran in a parrallel format.... meaning that everything gets 12 volts .....you may have a short somewhere in your wiring harness.....I suggest going in with a Digital Multi meter and assesing were the problem is......If you are close enough to me I could check it out with mine..
