ahhhhh one more qestion. you know how your intake pipe runs from your intake manifold to the filter? well, if you have a turbo, i always see the intake pipe running from the end of the turbo. i know why this is, but what do you do about the hole in the intake manifold?

 

The filter you see coming off a turbo is just "ambient" air, after the exhaust is compressed and cooled it goes back into the intake.

so you have an intake coming out of the turbo AND the intake manifold?

 

Look at the picture, the exhaust comes out of the motor. Its then compressed and cooled and is pushed back into the intake mani. The intake is just pulling in ambient air.

 

so you let the intake mani open?
