transmission fluid
I can never understand why people rather run something until randomly screws you than taking care of the problem first hand.
AAANNDDD, if had taken care of the problem in the first place (its called regular maintence), my bet is this thread would have never been made. i am a firm beleiver that preventative maintence is the key, so you are assuming i am one of those people who waites till something breaks to fix it. i make a living off those types people working for a japanese engine importer. so you lose at this post. you go now.
you my friend, have obviously never talked to someone who has worked on transmissions all their life. quit enjoying the internet BS and talk to a real transmission mechanic (not iffy lube, not aamco...but a shop that works on tranmissions only). then come back. bye bye.

while we are on the subject of trans fluid. I had to refill my trans in my b16 and in my Haynes manual I couldnt find a specific fluid that is put into the b16 manual hydro tranny but a mechanic next door said that it should just take 10w30 and the picture in the haynes of the guy filling the trans he had a something w30 motor oil in his hand. Is this true? Does the b16 manual trans take 10w30?
yeah i called around some places for pricing ideas and they were wanting to charge around 140- 200 just just change tranny oil which is bs.. john ( slow ls) charged 20 when i supplies the fluid.. will def go to him for any future stuff my apartment doesnt allow and recommend him to friends...
