If his tranny is already gone, then how would changing the fluid fuck up a fuck tranny? Think about it. Once the fluid gets old, it turns dark. Just like oil. It is an oil based fluid so it will eventually break down and need to be replaced.

When clutch packs on the tranny burn out they can depend on the gritty ass fluid thats in there in order for them to not slip. Changing the fluid on a worn tranny is pointless if its going to need to be rebuilt anyway.

Bedward86: If its light brown, has a slightly burned odor, and you see little particles in the fluid its just starting to break down. This is the best time to get it flushed so the new fluid will lengthen the life of your tranny.

If its dark brown, smells burnt, and you can feel particles between your fingers and see crap in your pan then you might as well leave it alone.

If you want it do, pm me. I can do either at my work. If the fluid is old, change it. Do not let your tranny just die. Dont listen to these people saying keep the old fluid. New fluid will not cause any problems.

I would just drain and fill.
