code 9, CYP sensor, copied from H-T:

the CYP is in the distributor. it typically does not go bad, it's probibly a connection problem.
check the plugs at the distributor, at the passenger shock tower and at the ECU.

if all the plugs are good, replace the dizzy

that was the general consensus... the car will run fine, but the light's on. meh... the cylinder position sensor is a black box under the cap... if you're really crafty, you may be able to swap just that part out without messing anything up, probably with a 90-91 integra part. but that's pure speculation... i'd just get a new dizzy. distributor king sells them, brand new for under $300.

honestly i'm not sure what'll happen if you just leave it. and yeah, obd-0 distributors are expensive, and the bearings are prone to failure, so buying a used one (which is still usually $100 or so) is a gamble. there's no USDM equivelant that you can just go to autozone and buy. that's why i suggested maybe the CYP sensor has a USDM equivelant and you could just swap that part out, but you'd be in uncharted waters i think.
