Default swap question (honda)

I am thinking of swaping a D16A1 motor into an 86 si. The motor comes with ecu and both motors are obd0 so i can use the same wiring harness right? And can i keep the tranny from the si?

I beilieve you would need the A1 Wiring harness or at least a few of the plugs for the different alternater, distributer, ect. You will have to use the Integra transmission and axles. However there is a spacer in the Si hubs that you have to remove in order for the axles to fit properly. I know there are certian areas of the Si frame that will need modification to fit the integra motor in and also one of the mounts will need notching to clear part of the motor. I am sorry for the sketchy info but it has been a lonnnnnng time since I have been involved in one of these swaps. I know it makes for a fun swap at low cost though. Def. worth the time and effort. Search a bit on some other forums on this swap.

EDIT: Also you will need to use the integra hubs, and remove the dust sheild/cap to properly fit the axles.
