Default Re: Headers?

4-1 is better in top end

4-2-1 is better in low-mid range

Honestly, when I put them on my B16, I didn't notice anything.

It just saves weight IMO. Now unless you have a built single cam, I wouldn't mess with it.

Save your money,

A header would make a HUGE difference, if you tune it.

Honestly, get some tuning software.. you'll make more power tuning than you will buying bolt-ons (bang for the buck).

header. you have a header. no s. im pretty sure you would feel more power with a header 4-2-1 than a intake or a muffler. but like the guys are saying above you could save up and get something more expensive that would give you more of dem der hsp.

Don't hype the tuning up that much Trevor.

On a D-series, unless it's a SMSP header, its not going to help that much.

You are very correct. That header is powerful, but expensive.

To be honest, tuning will return more power for the money spent. You could spend almost $1,000 on bolt-ons and get maybe 20hp more to the wheels.. and we all know how the SOHC's make amazing power.

Tune it with Crome and only pay for dyno time, free program and community support

Tune with Hondata and pay for dyno and tuning time, with plenty of commercial support.

Tune with a VAFC.

I'm not saying he will get 50hp to wheels from tuning, but for the money spent he would have made more power and gave himself the room to grow.

Trevor
