Sucked up water, help!
Story- I was on my way home from the store and I wasn't even 10minutes from my house when it starts to sprinkle, then it gradually picks up to 'i cant see my hood' raining so hard. So I head down towards my neighborhood and my car turns off. I was low in gas so I was thinking I just ran out of gas (it just started raining so I wasn't even thinking I was in water that deep). I try to start it one time and it sounded horrible so I didn't try again. I open my door and theres a good foot of water under my car. Luckily I know a tow truck driver that was close by, so I wasnt in the water more than 10minutes.
I get home, wait about 30mins and unplug my spark plug wires and try to crank it up. But it made a very loud grinding sound (similar to the sound your starter makes when you try to start the car when it's already on), and the motor shook but the belt didn't even turn. So I gave up and waited until this morning. I plugged the plugs back in and tried to crank it up, but same thing. I don't know a whole lot about cars in all honesty so is it locked? is it fixable? is there anybody that might be able to help me out? Any help would be appreciated!

Pull all your spark plugs out and try to suck out all the water in your cylinders. Depending on your intake manifold design you might want to take that off as well just in case there is a water puddle sitting inside of it.
After you know that you have all the water out, do a compression/leak down test to see if your valves are still good.

pull the plugs, not just the plug wires, out and then crank. might be too late though. when it comes down to compressing water, the water normally wins and the connecting rods lose.
see that shows how much of an idiot I am. I just went out there and pulled the plugs and tried cranking it, and water shot out the engine like a super soaker. Any hope you think?
It will still shoot water out if there are parts that are bent/broken already, that doesn't tell you anything except that the water pressure has some place to go now.
I'm not saying that you've destroyed your engine already, just that you can't tell anything from water shooting out.
