Default Standard Operating Temp

Anyone happen to know the average operating temps of a honda? Specifically a prelude. Not having much luck finding this.

The stock temp gauge on the 4th gen preludes is ass if you already didn't know. I just wanna keep a better eye on it and was gonna get a water temp or oil temp gauge and wanted to know what remp range to get.

thanks,

P.S. Which gauge would be more beneficial? water or oil temp for monitoring engine temps?

thanks,crate

not too certain about hondas, but on average 150-190 is acceptable

thanks. whats more beneficial to monitor, oil or water temp? i would assume both are gonna read just about the exact same reading. which would heat up first in the event of over heating? oil has more "surface" to it correct? so it dissipates heat much faster? shrug. thoughts?
