thanks for the input, I just didnt know if there was a big diffrence in the two.

the non turbo motor doesnt have oil squirters, it could be missing some other little things that the gti-r motor has which makes running boost safer, i also suspect it has a higher compression, youll have to look that one up though as im not 100% on it. i would say swap in the turbo motor and get an enthalpy or jim wolf ecu tuned for 93 octane, especially if your current one has a decent amount of miles on it.

edit- yeah just looked it up, 9.5 for usdm na motor, 8.5 for turbo motor
