Spray paint removal.....any ideas

If it is thin enough that you can see the flakes in the orginal paint you could try running a buffer on it with some gritty polish. Just don't do the edges with the buffer or you will burn through your orginal paint for sure. If that works you will have to do all the edges by hand.


If that doesn't work I would then try the reducer or mineral spirit.

I'd leave it the way it is until you have a scheduled dated to have it painted, then sand and primer her up before hand. Just trying to keep it from getting any possible rust or problems later on.
